I had a BAM service contract that was about to expire, so they called me and said I was still due a furnace inspection before the contract expired. So, I went ahead and scheduled, and they came out and found that my system was putting out high levels of carbon monoxide.
They shut my unit off at the source and set me up with another appointment with someone to get a replacement estimate. I called PG&E and asked if they would come out and verify, and within 15 minutes a truck was outside (said they didn’t want to hear about us on the news). PG&E tech climbs into the attic and switches the unit back on, and within a minute or so his CO meter is registering over 700ppm!
